School of Thought: Drop 2

PHILADELPHIA, PA- Philadelphia Printworks is proud to announce the second installment of the School of Thought apparel line: School of Thought: Drop 2. The original School of Thought collection was born in the midst of racial controversy and protest on college campuses across the USA. ‘Thought’ wasn’t born in response to that social unrest but developed from the same inequalities that exist in college and university politics. The sweaters evoked the names of James Baldwin, Audre Lorde, George Washington Carver, Harriet Tubman, Ida B. Wells and Marcus Garvey to reimagine their legacies and names to found hypothetical learning institutions; each implementing a speculative curriculum based on their life missions. School of Thought: Drop 2 is a reiteration of that same idea reimagined as athletic paraphernalia. The new line visualizes mascots and icons to further celebrate the pride of each of the imaginary institutions. The collection is available for purchase on the Philadelphia Printworks website at http://ppw.supply.
